Isabelle
DuBois began making her high-fired porcelain windchimes in
1976, while attending the University of California in San
Diego. The highly-acclaimed UCSD Craft Center, the heart of
creativity for the university, proved to be a substantial
influence on Isabelle. It was here DuBois Pottery got it
start.
Currently,
Isabelle makes windchimes and handthrown stoneware bells in
her studio in mile-high Idyllwild, California, which is home
to many artisans and crafts people. The beautiful chimes
have become a favorite of people all over the United States
because of the exquisite ringing sound. Isabelle personally
designs each of the windchimes, using impressions of live
plants from the forest around her home.
DuBois
Pottery's philosophy is based on creating beautifully
designed chimes, with clear, crisp sound. Isabelle's chimes
are consistently made with all the care and craftsmanship
her customers have come to expect. |
