NATIVE AMERICAN ARTS | Dreamcatchers

Dream Catcher Legend
An old Indian legend says that dream catchers were hung in lodges and teepees to assure peaceful dreams. They believed that the night air was filled with both good and bad dreams. The good dreams, knowing the way, would slip through the webbing. The bad dreams, not knowing the way, would get caught in the web and melt away at daybreak. Small dreamcatchers were hung of the cradleboards so infants would have only good dreams.

The Dreamcatchers on this page are handcrafted by Navajo Artist Betty Begay

All Dreamcatchers are leather with matching beads and natural feathers. The 3", 4", 6" and 8" sizes come in green, blue, natural, white, black, or brown. If you have a special request for color, please indicate that color in the message part of the shopping cart.
