Our
rugs are all produced by the Zapotec Indians from Oaxaca,
Mexico. Each piece is a handwoven work of art created in traditional
manner on double harness Spanish floor looms. The hand-carded
and spun wool used in these rugs is dyed in huge pots over
open fires. The weavers carefully select the color combinations
for which the Zapotec Indians are famous. The end result is
a product that is very durable and will look beautiful for
years on the floor or can be used to decorate your walls,
shelves and all areas of your home.
These are sold by color style and your rug may not look exactly like the pictures on our site.
