Geoplate Artistic Switch and Outlet Covers
Uniquely distictive covers are Handmade to resemble Original Stone Artwork.

Hello, and thank you for your interest in this unique and utilitarian art. The Artist found creative inspiration in the legacy of mankind's struggle for recognition.

Hiking and climbing in Arizona and Colorado brought the Artist's contact with artists' work from the past who used the whole outdoors as their palette. Such encounters with ancient rock art was the inspiration to bring together the amazingly bold elements of rock and primitive graphic art in a way that could be enjoyed by anyone, in the comfort of their home.

Every geoplate is carefully handcrafted. Although in the early years earth colors, gathered from around the country were used, today geoplates are designed with specially treat and color silica's, minerals from the Mediterranean, Africa and South America. A few special ingredients to improve light refraction and strength are then added. Everything is held together using proprietary, high-tech bonding formulas that are nontoxic and resistant to normal usage. It takes anywhere from seven to ten days for each geoplate to be made, during which time it goes through more than a dozen separate stages of development, each requiring detailed handling and care. Finally, each piece is bathed in the intense Arizona sunlight and heat, allowing it to cure in a slow, natural process.

Hopefully, you'll find much enjoyment in collecting geoplates. Unique and sturdily constructed, their beauty and functionality will grace your home for years to come.
